Memories of Kota Kinabalu with CROCS SANDALS on November 2008

Dear Pinky,

What a wonderful memories which I will never forget forever on November 2008. I forgot what's the date but I will never forget those 5 days. Let me share the stories about my adventure. Early in the morning on that day, I woke up and went to school to gather with my friends. After that, we sat bus to Air-Asia Airport. LOL! First time for me to sit plane alone without my parents or any family members! It's very enjoy though. Well, you don't need to get worried by your parents. Then, we checked in at the counter. Well, our journey was quite rush on that day so we didn't ate any breakfast and went in to the plane. WAH! The plane was full! Freaking full! Totally full! Around 3.00 pm, we reached Sabah International Airport. We waited for the bus outside the airport for so long like half an hour and it's hot like India.. like crap too! While, the bus arrived and I and my friends keep talking and talking and talking. Then, we all sit bus go to KFC and eat our wonderful lunch! I and my friend Sateesh thought not enough time to makan so we didn't sat down and makan. We tar pao KFC and we sat in the bus waiting for some guys eating.. Only a few person in the bus included me and my friend Sateesh. After their lunch, teacher said it's time to go!

While sitting in the bus, the teacher keep talking on the mike. Teacher tell us jokes and some craps! Then, 1 teacher said.. 3 hours journey to Kota Kinabalu ah! I and my friend Sateesh stunned there because we tarpao the KFC snack plate and terpaksa to eat in the bus and make our hands dirty! Well, we did ate in the bus and got our hands dirty. I and my friend Sateesh had so much fun on that 3 hours.. After some time, we saw some scenery of Kota Kinabalu, we took many pics in the bus. When we reached our hotel, we were happy as luck! We got in to our hotel which sucks like crap. We must carry our big and heavy luggage to our hotel and the floors are steep. What a crap hotel we thought. Then, we rested in our hotel for 1 hour till 7.00 p.m our dinner time.

At 7.00 p.m, it's drizzling and teachers are arguing! LOL! It makes totall sense! They were discussing that we should go to our lounge lobby which we must walked outdoor for 15 minutes to reach there or stay in the hotel and don't eat dinner. While, we were so hungry like chicken so we argued with teacher to let us out for dinner! Around 7.30 p.m, we wore our raincoat and ciao lou! RAN RAN RAN! Not really running actually.. walking fast..! LOL! Our buffet was delicious, much variety to choose. Tetapi ada satu masalah! Got many worms or those weird jungle stuff at the ceiling or flying around because it's indoor but opened to outdoor. One of my indian friend got a butterfly I guess or a very disgusting insect in his food. He shouted and let the service incharged person see. Well, he said it's small matterlah! Nothing punya! Then we laughed like hell while watching insects flying here and there.. here and there..

After our dinner we got back our hotel and planned not to sleep. Well, I thought that it's a stupid idea which will just make us look stupid tomorrow because we need to wake up like damn early in the cold morning to eat breakfast and make us energy for tomorrow's adventure. "Long way to go" I thought. After dinner, we gathered at our Private room and discussed planned for tomorrow's adventure with our dear tour guide. After all the planning, we went downstairs of the Private room to Yam Cha around 12.00 a.m. Well, our tour guide told us to sleep earlier but we didn't listen a bit. We on loudspeaker of our phone at listen to musics.. wonderful musics.. At around 1.30 a.m, everyone also tired but my roomates were not tired even a bit. That's why I changed my room to Peter's room and stay with 4 friends.. We tucked each other together on bed and tried to get some sleep while chatting on bed.

The next day is the hard part which I so called Hardcore Day! Early in the morning, we had our breakfast at the same place. We got some coffee and yam cha in the cafe. After that we went up to the lobby and put our luggage there to keep. Then, we hanged around the Jalan (ROAD) for 2 hours. Guess what! We went to mini store and ate some ice cream. It's stupiak! The weather was like 14 degress celsius and we stunned there while eating it. We were so called the Stupiak people! Our ice cream was nice though. Later, our bus came and we ciao lou to the entrance of Kota Kinabalu. The road to there is supper douber narrow! A bus can fit the whole road! Then we peed in the toilet and then we ciao. Almost everyone bought a wooden stick for safety percaution. While, that's where our real journey started. Everyone was so nervous at the same time happy to see the way to the top! It's a crazy freak land.

Then, we all walked walked walked..... tried to overtake here overstake there.. See edi also sienn.. We felt new and fresh at the green and cold mountain. Reminds me of nature! After some time, we felt tired and stressed. There are 7 pondoks from the way down to Low's Peak I guess. I totally forgotten how many.. Agak Agak 7.. We rested at each Pondok. We saw squirrels which are not scared of people and Masalays "GUEI LOU'. Many masalays also went.. they chat with us for a while in the pondok, then we continue our journey.. We were actually divided to 3 groups.. I went toilet and siau pien (PEE), that's why I went to the last group. At first, I followed my group, then I felt sienn because they walked as slow as a snail, turtle, a pig or whatever! I walked alone at the jungle for 1 hour, then I saw 2nd group. They smiled at me and asked "Hey! You from 3rd group? So Fast!" I totally don't agree with them because they were slow. LOL! I am not being Lan Ci here! Then, I walked walked again and felt that I lost the 2nd group again.. Then I walked walked and walked and I saw the 1st group! Unbelivable! Marvellous! I praised myself! LOL!

It's a scary journey though, it's a 1 way road so people coming up and down. What I meant is too many people. Included with Kiasu Singaporians. Then, I followed with the 1st group loh! WAH! Pondok by Pondok.. Pondok by Pondok.. tired like hell! Somemore cannot pee because toilet terlalu busuk macam rubbish or sudah 10 years tidak pakai dan sudah tidak boleh dipakai lagi! LOL! I told my friends about the smelly toilet, they laughed like hell. We ate our lunch given by teacher to earn strength. It's not easy for me to carry a 4 kg Golla Bag around the mountain, u know! It's hard! So hard! Only me carry because I wanted to save some money. Everyone asked porter to help them carry their bags outside which I don't want to waste money and take risk because I scared I will lose my bag. Somemore, my bag is not a cheap bag. It's GOLLA! LOL! Just kidding. But I really don't want to take risks!

After some time, our group splited in to half and I followed my teacher (CIKGU IKHWAN) along with my friends, Peter Ngu, Andrew Tong, and Jared. Only 5 of us together! Well, I am the 3rd person reaching the cafe at the half mountain. The Cafe is our gathering point and pit stop! I saw my friend (Ming Hong) there.. He told me he waited for 2 hours already. I stunned there and was speechless. I ordered a hot MILO and Jared ordered hot MILO too! The Milo was so small that is costed double times. I know why it's expensive.. because they need to order the ingredients from the city to transport to Kota Kinabalu. That's why it's so expensive.

After our drink, we went up to check out our small little chalet at middle of mountain. For ur information, never stay in that chalet unless u are with friends. It's very scary but fun for us. After that, we got back to the cafe and gathered with our friends.. Then we all go back to the Chalet to rest. At night, our tour guide told us about the midnight plan to Low's Peak. Telling us what to bring and must wake up at 1.30 a.m. I felt nervous and scared at the same time. But he said we can choose to go or not to go. After that, we went back to our room and chat.

OMG! It's time for the next adventure! It's time! 2.00 a.m! Many people refused to go. While I am not feeling well on that time, I keep vomiting, and felt cold. All my friends ajak me to go.. so I go loh! So, we started our new adventure. Like what I always said, everday is a new adventure. Well, not many people agreed with me. I felt nice because my friends all ajak me to go. We walked, walked, walked..... Many people quited half way while walking. Then, I suddenly followed teacher and never ever looked back. I am quite worried about our adventure because it's in the middle of the night! 2.00 a.m! Who will ever walked to Kota Kinabalu at 2.00 a.m? It really doesn't make sense. Well! They must have reasons! But they really do! We start so early to see the sunrise at 6.00 a.m. Weird eh! If u ever see the sunrise, you will feel crazy! The night was cold and scary though. I wanted to quit but teacher encouraged me to continue. I saw my friends disseapered from behind so I asked my teacher where are my friends. My teacher said they are coming up so we should get moving. I stunned there and speechless.. I felt weird.. I suspected they lied to me. LOL! It's totally a lie of course! HAHA! I quite cautious but still knocked some rocks.. hard rocks I meant.. My torch light spoiled so can't really do the job well.. I am so furious when my torch light was spoiled.. wrecked when I put batteries inside.. I am quite bad luck though.. Later, we reached the rope section.. means that we must hold the rope to climb the mountain. Definitely scary! Totally scary! My brains were freezing when I saw those ropes and people really climbed! I should climb together also I thought. LOL! Hold Hold Hold! By a blink of an eye, everything is over and 4 hours climbing is over! It's a quite scary experience. Can probably say that it's the scariest night ever in my freaking life! I've never done this before in my life and I did the job! LOL! I and only my another 2 different forms of age friends did the job. We took the picture with the Board of Kota Kinabalu and took some pictures of the Sunrise. I did accidentally deleted the photo but I'll never forget the night.

After that, we turned back and go back. While going back, we saw some teacher taking flags and just reached Low's Peak! They surprised I am there because I am Form 1! Only 3 out of 40 students (WHOLE FORM1-5) reached there and I am one of them. I represented Form 1! The feeling was like u just succeeded in your life! When u see the sunrise, the feeling is priceless. Priceless I tell ya! PRICELESS! Everything worth it! We got down back to my chalet and took my bag. I can't believed nobody handle or incharged of my bag and just left it there. I was so relieved that nobody took my bag because my bag contains some precious items. After that, I got back to the cafe and everyone congratulate me. I was stunned! First time being a celebrity in my school! SERIOUSLY FIRST TIME! They admired me and parents praised me! I was so happy as a luck!

I ate some buffet, I swallowed because I don't want to chew! Waste of time! I took a cup of Milo and a hot dog and fried egg and started eating. Everyone gone off left me and some people on top at Low's Peak! I am the fastest who got down the Low's Peak! That's why I am alone eating buffet. After my crazy breakfast, I got down with the group 3 so called (SLOW GROUP)! Then I walked walked walked.. My legs were freezing and I am sweating at the same time happy! Well, in fact! Forgot to say that I dropped my Sony Ericsson K850i while taking pictures in Kota Kinabalu. Not I drop, an uncle who going to take pics for me dropped. Never mind, I also don't care that much about the phone. Just like Beatles.. Let it Be.. Let it Be.. the song.. LOL! After that, I saw back my roomates who were indians.. We were like bff (BEST FRIEND FOREVER) and we got down together. While we reached the main entrance, we saw Peter Ngu and Andrew Tong there already! CRAZY! We were stunned! Well! I came the last because my leg was badly injured when I fell down while walking down. I bought a 100 plus in the mini mart and drank finished it only for 10 seconds.

I broke my records! What else? I'm done with my adventure, drank finished a 100 plus for 10 seconds and ate a Pringle chip from my friend Andrew Tong while drinking it. What else? I felt like I succeeded! I sat on the chair and stunned! I didn't move even a second and my friends were so annoying taking pics of squirrel upstairs of the shelter. I also took some pictures of te squirrel actually.

Long story short... I only talked about 2 days, the other 3 days were even longer! LOL! Now it's time to summary.

After everyone gathered at the entrance, we all got back to our hotel lobby and took back our luggage. Well, some of my teachers haven't reached the main entrance sat on the another bus. They made us wait well.. like 2 hours. We ate ice cream again! This time we were not stupiak! We felt hot so we buy. LOL! After they came, we went to our new hotel. It's a Korean style hotel.

The hotel was filled with Korean words and the room is all so 5 stars alike! Don't forget! + the dinner is so delicious! They served Chinese Food.. We semua hantam all the food.. LOL! After that, we got back to our room and watched TV! Around 11.00 p.m, we slept!

The next day, it's time to party! We went to a city so called (SABAH CITY)! The main city! It's smaller than Singapore I guess.. It's really very small! It's just beside of the sea. We checked in our 3rd new hotel and stay! Sangat comfortable woh! Can go down to 7-Eleven and buy stuff anytime even midnight! At night, Me, Peter, Andrew, Carmen, Vanessa and Jessica went down to seek for foods! We seek here seek there! Still cannot find anything that suits us! Then, I said "Why not we go to the Italian Restaurant which located just a few stones away from our hotel?" All agreed and went in and ate. We ordered 2 large famous pizza. We chat a lot while waiting for the pizzas to come. The bill was Rm60.00 for 6 person! Everyone stunned but I didn't! Everyone found it expensive but I found it cheap! I think they were stupiak! How can we find an Italian Restaurant with a 5 stars environment cost their food so cheap in Kuala Lumpur? Never ever! Somemore it's Sabah! Which should cost even more!

I am happy and everyone are quite hapyp actually. We bought some snacks in 7-Eleven and got back to our hotel and play.. We asked the girls to come to our hotel and play cards half watch Hong Kong Ghost show at TV3! LOL! We all played until 12.40 a.m, semua sudah bosan. Then, they all got back to their room but Peter wants to follow to play cards so he followed. I and Andrew watched some tv half discussing what were Peter doing in 3 girls' room? We were just joking and thinking some immature stuff! LOL! We felt bored, and also got into the girl's room. I not really know how to play cards so I played Vanessa's PSP! LOL!

The next day is party time again! We got into an island and play! We took many pictures there!

At night, it's time to go back to Kuala Lumpur! We all got into the bus and going to Sabah International Airport! While on the way, teacher were giving certificates. I got a special coloured certificate which not everyone has because I got up to the top of the mountain! LOL! We paid RM1200 for this trip! Of course we should climb to the top! For those 31 students who didn't climbed, they were stupiak! We ate KFC in the airport while checking in! Sienn tiao! We made some shopping in the airport! After that, it's time to fly! I quickly went to the Duty Free shop and bought a GODIVA chocolate which costed quite expensive RM19.90! On that time, I left quite few bucks only! The plane was much worse than the 1st time, it was so fulL! I am so lucky I got a place but everyone were sitting with strangers included me! Beside me got a young man and an uncle. The uncle keep telling stories about Australia and him and giving advice to young man. I was so sienn, so I on some music on my phone to listen. Mr Kai sent me Gun n Roses and a Yui song. And the food in the airoplane was so limited. That's why I only ordered a cup of water. LOL! Bottle of water actually!

When we got into LCCT International Airport, the first thing we do is take our luggage! LOL! Of course! Then, I and my best friend Peter got our luggage the earliest. That's why we went to The Coffee Bean shop and I belanja him coffee. It costed me RM26.00 I guess. Peter is my best friend, so there will be no trouble for me belanja him. Then, the bus came and we ciao!
