Honda FCX Clarity

Let's not talk about Mercedes-Benz F-Cell, this is the new Honda FCX Clarity. It is a hydrogen fuel cell automobile manufactered by Honda. It is now on sale. This is a car of the future. It kills the Prius and the others, obviously! Mercedes-Benz haven't started selling their hydrogen car yet, so this is the only 1 we can buy now. The FCX Clarity is powered by a 5.7-litre, 100kW Honda Vertical Flow (V Flow) hydrogen fuel cell stack. Electricity is stored in a 288V lithium ion battery. This vehicle is replacing the Honda Accord Hybrid which goes slow on sales.

Why hydrogen but not hybrid? According to Top Gear, 30 litres of hydrogen costs the same as 30 litres of gasoline in California. Also, the FCX Clarity's power plant is much simpler than an internal combustion engine, so it doesn't need to be serviced that often. Although it cost a bit more expensive then petrol and diesel, it's cheaper in long-run. It's because hydrogen can last longer than petrol and diesel.

Look like a civilised car isn't it? Not that prototype anymore..... Just a normal Honda.
