You've Got to Be Kidding Me

iPod TouchFinally, an end to all the speculations to whether Apple will be releasing a new tablet device, or upgrading their iPod Touch with a camera and mic because well, none of them are true. The day has come for Apple to unveil their next generation of iPod, so hit the jump for more information on the updates and local pricing.

iPod Touch
No, there’s neither a new camera nor microphone on this 3rd generation iPod Touch, but it does come with a faster processor like the one in iPhone 3GS, as well as a doubled capacity of 64GB. It is also packed with the latest OS 3.1, an upgrade available for free since the announcement yesterday.

Although the conference wasn’t held locally, but Apple Malaysia has already updated the website, and here are the new prices:

64GB – RM1,599
32GB – RM1,199
8GB – RM779

While the 8GB version is already available, the other two are still pending angency approval.

iPod Nano

iPod NanoSo this is where the rumored camera went, to the iPod Nano. Unfortunately for those who are seeking one to take pictures AND videos, the one on the Nano only supports video recording. There are 9 colors available in either 8GB or 16GB versions.

It features a new built-in pedometer that will sync with Nike+ Software without the need of any external devices. The device will be able to keep track of different exercise calculations such as steps taken and calories burnt.

8GB – RM599
16GB – RM719

iPod Classic
